Welcome to my blog, where I share informative and exciting content. I officially retired in January 2015 at 56, and I quickly learned that retirement is not as simple as flipping a light switch. The transition from full-time employment to retirement has been challenging for me. With more free time than I knew how to fill, I decided to continue some website design and maintenance work. However, I plan to gradually phase this out as I fully embrace retirement.
In today’s climate, traveling the world has become increasingly difficult. This year, I need to research potential destinations to ensure safe adventures. I plan to limit my travels to Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Most travel agencies provide updates on travel alerts and relevant warnings to my plans. I also recommend checking the U.S. State Department’s website before traveling.
The State Department’s Office of American Citizens Services and Crisis Management (ACS) manages the Consular Information Program, which informs the public about conditions abroad that may impact safety and security. This program includes vital resources such as Country-Specific Information. The State Department offers this information for every nation, including the location of U.S. embassy and consular offices, visa requirements, information on crime and security, health and medical considerations, drug penalties, localized hot spots, and more. This is an excellent starting point for learning about your travel destination.
Join us on a journey of exploration and discovery as we continue to deliver fresh, relevant, and insightful content that resonates with our audience.
